Description
“Ash and Pumice” bring us to Matera, a city dug in the porous stone of a hill. We drove from Salerno to Napoli where we visit the world-famous Archeological Museum. Next, we go to the ruins of Paestum and to Pompei, the city located at the base of Vesuvio, completely covered in ash and pumices in 79BC by the heinous eruption of the volcano.©2005
